About Me
I grew up in the era of conventional oil & gas exploration. In the 50’s my dad worked as an independent geologist, raising venture capital out of his office in our home in Thousand Oaks. Every summer Mom hauled five to seven kids, depending on who was born that year, to Wyoming where dad was drilling. Summers were idyllic for my sisters and brothers and I. We camped with my grandparents on the Green River above Cora, Wyoming, without a care in the world and no idea of the enormity of Dad’s efforts to raise us. Many years ago he told me the U.S would be at war with the Middle East over petroleum.
I started The Eleanor Project, my alter ego, to focus attention on issues surrouding dependence, so strongly embedded in our culture, on fossil fuels. My site is a work in progress.
I am a mother of three awesome sons (check out Awesome Links), a recent graduate with a B.S. in Land Use. I love cooking and I am a Libra.
